Which school would provide more marketability as far as a business degree goes? Economics at Vassar vs. Economics at CMU or busines administration at Tepper within CMU?

Which would provide a better chance at entrance to a good graduate business school?
Thanks

Many students entering graduate business programs have undergraduate economics degrees, so you probably can’t go wrong with an economics degree from a top LAC. You really need to think what courses you want to be taking undergrad and what type of atmosphere you want. The schools at CMU are supposedly very separate from each other socially so you would be primarily with the business students. I think these schools also differ on the liberal–conservative scale. (of course it might be a good idea to apply to both types of options). Take a look at the course catalogues/websites for each and see which excites you more. And will you want to get a good grounding in literature history and a few other subjects as well or do you just want to take as many business courses as you can? Look on the the business major section of CC to find threads on economics degrees vs. undergraduate business degrees.

Thanks for the info, Hitch.

Tepper is extremely hard to get into. If you get into Tepper, do it. Oh and in my opinion CMU is the better choice in general if your looking into business. Vassar gets left in the dust in New York City compared to other big name new york colleges.

Thanks, Chances. How"geocentric" is a business degree from CMU, meaning will most career opportunities come from local companies or ne US locations? What if I want to settle in a different part of the country, maybe back in my home of FL?
Is a CMU degree highly regarded nationwide?
Thanks
