Hey everyone! this thread is for anyone who notices any changes with Carolina Connect before the release of the early action decisions for the UNC class of 2020. I’ve read that changes to the portal can signify an acceptance! so please comment if any changes occur so we can all look out for them
What changes did you notice?
@ErenYeager i haven’t seen any yet. this thread is just for any future changes when it gets closer to the decision notification date
Is the “Pay Bills/Manage Student Finances” leading applicants to ConnectCarolina payment page an indicator of anything or does everyone have it? Seems weird that everyone would get an account through Student Billing. Any other changes people may have noticed?
It leads me to something, I’m not sure you mean by payment page but it might be that?

Yea it gave me a student account.
“Current Account Status
Student AccountThere is no activity on this account at this time.”
Ooo this is cool trying to look for something that is like “accept admission” but no luck yet
Clicking it does NOT take me a student account. A box opens and says “click here to view bills and account activities…” but nothing else happens when clicked.

That did it - now I am seeing the same student account
@trackcheer2016 @2018eastorwest I turn off my pop-up blocker and still have the same box that opens and says “click here to view bills and account activities…” :-/ is this an indication that you guys got in while I probably didn’t?
can you take a screenshot? maybe you’re doing something wrong?
Didn’t someone mention this in another thread recently and say that it was not indicative of acceptance? Maybe it was from last year. I’m not sure but I definitely remember reading a very similar thread previously. Either way, it is fun to speculate and calm the nerves until next Friday or so.
Asked a friend who is also applying to check if we had the same things on our account. Apparently when he clicks on the “payed bills/manage student finances” link it leads him to an error page. May either be an indicator or system malfunction…who knows…
@ErenYeager I can’t post a picture on here, but if i put my mouse over the Pay Bills/Manage Student Finances, a white box appears that says,
"Pay Bills/Manage Student Finances
Click here to view bills and account activity,
make payments, set up direct deposit and/or
authorize others to have access to your
student financial information."
But if I press on the box, or “Pay Bills/Manage Student Finances” nothing happens ugh
The box pops up to for me.
Maybe it means our decisions have been made but doesn’t necessarily indicate decision?
