I received information about the Carolina Research Scholar Program. Anyone know anything about this program? The letter looked interesting, but I want to learn more about it. Anyone else get this in the mail?

I got it! This website really helps, if you haven’t already read it: [Office for Undergraduate Research at UNC-Chapel Hill](http://www.unc.edu/depts/our/students/students_crsp.html)

I got it too. The letter says that I was one of the 175 applicants selected for the program but when I looked at the website, it looks like everyone can enter the program and have the “research scholar” on their transcript. What does it mean if you got the letter as opposed to some people that didn’t get it?

Haha no idea, I was wondering too! Either way, it’ll be good times!

IntelQ, my understanding is that they’ve reserved slots in the gateway modes of inquiry class for the program for a select group of incoming students.

As with the Honors Program, other students can apply to join later, but a small group are invited upon admission.

That makes sense. I guess with undergrad research comes funding and more interaction with faculty.
