My son has been selected to be a Caroline D Bradley Scholarship finalist. He will be interviewed soon. I was wondering if anyone has any experience about the interview. Any advice will be appreciated.

My daughter got he scholarship several years back. They are a wonderful group. I am going to message you.

you also might want to put this in the High School forum

My child was also selected as a Caroline D. Bradley finalist. I would love some information from someone that has gone through the process.

Congrats to your son!

I was also selected as a finalist and any information about the interviews would be appreciated. Thanks!

Congratulations to everyone else who was chosen!

my daughter won one of the scholarships 8 years ago, and she has jsut graduated college!!

so it has been awhile and may have changed somewhat, but here is what I remember

the scholarship people are amazing, very kind, very giving, very into the idea of helping smart involved kids get a great highschool education

the interview lasts about 45. our took place at a hotel. there were two interviewers. i met them both and waited in the lobby until my daughter was done

they aren’t looking for 'great" interviewees. they are used to really smart kids sometimes being shy, but they do want kids who are really interested in \what they do who can back up the application packet and who are self drivin

from meeting so many other scholars, i think they are also looking for kids who do more then just study or focus on their “talents” but kids who are trying new things, who do things for fun, like stage crew, or run, or paint, along with their science

you children shouldnt stress on the interview, just be themselves and be real

When I was getting ready for the skype interview for the GE Reagan scholarship, we did a google search for college scholarship interview questions. There are some good sites with questions. Three of my teachers did a mock interview with me and that really helped. I felt a lot more at ease with the interview after doing that. I did get the scholarship and would recommend that you try that.

Are the interview questions similar to those asked for prep school interviews?

My son was just selected as a 2014 CDB finalist, and will be interviewed this summer. We’d love to talk with someone who has been through the process.

My son was also selected as a finalist. Any advice would be appreciated!

My son heard he is a finalist earlier today. He is anxious about the interview, and we would love to hear about their experience from interviewees in past years.

would you share with us your experience about your son as a finalist ?
The interviewer met him in a hotel room downtown, talked with him and my wife for a little while, and then excused my wife while the interviewer and my son talked. It was a short interview, and he did not receive the scholarship. Since I wasn’t there, I’m not sure what they talked about or what they were looking for. Sorry that I can’t be more helpful.
Hello,
would you mind sharing some information about what your kid did to qualify the scholarship?
My daughter is applying now, and we are very clueless.
Thanks in advance.
