What is the chances of getting in regular admission??

@Lovefreedom It depends on whether she has any worthwhile supplemental information worth adding to her application. A deferral is a demonstration of interest by the school. So that’s a great thing to have. However, yield can also be a big factor in admissions, as it can tie directly to the school’s reputation. They want to know that your daughter has an interest in the school and is willing to work hard to get in and succeed here. It’s for that reason that she should definitely send something to support her application and show a continued interest in the school. Personally, prior to my choosing CSOM, I was deferred by UVA and sent an additional SAT II subject score and an additional teacher recommendation. This is definitely something that I believed helped turn my deferral into an acceptance. However, I ended up choosing CSOM anyway.

I’m not sure of the exact early vs regular admission statistics, but I feel as though deferral statistics would be misleading because only a certain number of students actually act on the deferral and work towards turning that into an acceptance, as opposed to rolling over and accepting a rejection.

Hope this helped

thanks a lot
