Dear Class of 2017 : Congratulations to your class on the wonderful class slogan given to you by the departing Class of 2013, the Sesquicentential Class.

Dear Readers : Each year, we are asked for a reference point on previous year’s slogans. Established in 2002, the Super Fan sayings follow:

Class of 2002: Whatever it Takes!
Class of 2003: Go Eagles!
Class of 2004: Eagles on the Warpath
Class of 2005: Always Believe in BC
Class of 2006: Fly Like an Eagle
Class of 2007: Take it to the Heights
Class of 2008: Soaring to Glory
Class of 2009: Talons of Fury…Get Ready.
Class of 2010: Eagles Take Action.
Class of 2011: For Here All Are One.
Class of 2012: On the Hunt for Excellence
Class of 2013: Honoring the Legacy, Pursuing Greatness
Class of 2014: Ignite the Heights with Spirit and Truth
Class of 2015: Building Character, Becoming Champions
Class of 2016: Many Hearts, One Tradition

It is generally accepted that the Class of 2007 slogan is still the top dog in the list. The 2004 slogan occasionally gets note while the Class of 2011 is typically seen as second best and a firm challenger to 2007.

The most lampooned slogan is that from the Class of 2010 - and the Pseudo-Super Fan shirt from that year remains a Boston College classic.

The Class of 2017 slogan is interesting as this year’s graduation ceremonies spent time on the passing the torch concept, an element of Jesuit education.

I like '10 better than (our) '09, scott. :D

But '17 carries a with it the historical meaning, so it works really well.
