I recently received my CARS Monthly E-Bill stating that tuition is due Aug. 15th. However, I was charged with the Health Insurance Plan even though I had submitted a UC SHIP Waiver. After further review, I found out that my UC SHIP Waiver had not gone through and that I would have to submit it again and be charged with a late fee of $50.

So I submitted my UC SHIP Waiver again a couple of days ago.

Will I receive another CARS Monthly E-Bill with the Health Insurance being waived off??? Is it possible to receive 2 CARS Bills for the same month (one being an updated one)??? If so, when can I expect to receive this new bill given that my Health Waiver was submitted only 2 days ago and that I have only till Aug 15th. to pay my fees???

I believe the quick statement on bearfacts is updated more often, so just pay that amount in cars even though that’s not what the “official” cars bill says. Meaning see the number in the quick statement and type that in when you pay for cars.

Now, if you want to dispute it, I’m not sure what to do.

@meep1234: How would I do that? My CARS account asks me to pay the minimum fee and even if Bear Facts updates its information with the Health Insurance, CARS still includes the Health Insurance. So how would I be able to pay like that???

IF SHIP gets waived, your CARS bill WILL reflect that change on bearfacts. Then you will be able to pay accordingly. Ignore the E-Bill for the reason that it does not update.

If it still shows $891 next to “Health Insurance” under Registration Fee Summary in Bearfacts, the waiver has not been processed.

What ^ said…however I vaguely remember paying the full bill and getting the ship money back through EFT…if the change isn’t reflected in the bearfacts quick statement (cars tab, look right under for quick statement) you should call before te deadline just to be sure. (before the 10th)
