<p>how many of you who are going to sdsu now have cars? do you feel it is a necessity?<br>
of all the new students....who is bringing a car next year?
im comming to sdsu from maryland (east coast) and im not going to have a car at least my first semester..... what do you guys think about the car situation living on campus?</p>
<p>I have been debating the same question. I am from LA and am heading down to San Diego State this coming fall as an incoming freshman. I will bring my car, but I do not know if it's absolutely necessary. I been down there a few times recently and their public transportation has gotten a much better with the addition of the trolley. The trolley can take you almost anywhere in the city. The only drawback is the it's not as fast as having your own car. All in all though, I would have to say that having your own car isn't at all necessary. If San Diego is anything like LA, then many people already drive their own cars. There will probably tons of people you can bum off rides from. I will bring my own car because I already have one and plan to surf a lot.</p>
