I just bought myself a car and am going to be a senior this fall anyways i have a big list of colleges that i could apply to but want to know if they allow cars on campus as i dont want to leave a car i just bought at home. So is there a website that lists the colleges that allow cars on campus for non-freshman and for freshman also. I know that you may say you shouldnt pick a college just because of this but i am going to take this into some consideration when i choose a college

I would say that if the college's website sell parking permits, or mention something about it, then they allow cars, but I don't know if all colleges allow it for freshman. I don't know of a college that doesn't.

UNC-CH doesn't allow freshmen to have cars

Colleges that DO allow cars for freshmen:

-Wesleyan University(NO FEES)
-Colgate University(NO FEES)
-University of Chicago($60/month)
-Dartmouth College(Don't know)
-Bowdoin College(don't know)

Places where you won't need a car:

-NYU
-BU
-University of Chicago
-Any other college that is in the city

Places that don't let you have cars as a freshman even though you might need them:

-University of Michigan
-University of Virginia
-Tufts

These are all the schools that interest me cud some1 tell me which allow cars for freshman and for non-freshman and which dont allow cars at all, and if possible list the fee it would cost me if any.

Penn State UP - you must have 28 credits completed prior to September 1 to apply for an on campus parking permit. So if you are a freshman, you cannot park a car on campus. However, you could get a spot in town; those start around $1000 per year.

You can't have a car as a freshman at Princeton. But afterwards it's fine. Now that I think about it, most of the places that freshmen go to are accessible by walking or taking the bus.

However, (if you really want your car) there's a way to bypass this rule. One of my roommates is doing it, but I forget how.

um why are u tellin me about princeton do u see that on my list?
