Are there any differences between CAS biology and CALS biology other than CAS offers more of a liberal arts curriculum and is more prestigious?

I don’t think there is any noticeable difference. However, you should look up the graduation requirements for each school and compare them since they can be very different. You might not want to end up having to take a bunch of courses that you’re not interested in just so you’re able to graduate.

It’s the same program. What is different are the general requirements you’ll have to take to to graduate. You’ll have to take more as a CAS major because the most of the requirements of CALS are fulfilled through the bio major.

I don’t think it matters..
are you planning to go to medical school?

^^ I think so. However, I’m thinking about minoring in Classics and/or South Asian Studies, so I’m worried CALS doesn’t have as intense a liberal arts curriculum as I want.

Then you should probably apply to CAS as your primary and put down CALS as a possible secondary. The differences in their biology programs are negligible but since you want to minor in something else not offered at CALS, your best best is CAS.
