CAS Essay

For the CAS supplement essay, does it have to be very pointed and direct towards one specific intellectual interest? I have an eclectic group of interests that I would like to talk about, but many sample essays that I have seen have been very pointed toward a specific field. Does it hurt me to not have a single, clearly defined interest?

Actually, it benefits you. Arts & Sciences is looking for students who want to take advantage of a liberal arts education, so by articulating that you have a lot of interests you’re looking to pursue is beneficial.

Thanks! That’s great
