<p>WHY is everything so vague? I haven’t been able to find a straight answer on the divisional studies requirements for CAS.
Does anyone know exactly what the school requires for their gen eds?

<p>I used to be in CAS so I think I can explain the whole divisional studies thing to you. You need to take 2 one-semester classes in each division outside of the one that is your concentration. The four divisions are Humanities, Math & Comp Sci Division, Natural Science Division, and Social Sciences. Whichever division your major falls under, it is a given that you will take many more than just 2 courses in that division. So you need to take 2 courses in the other three to fulfill your divisional studies requirement</p>
<p>BU is generous with AP credit. AP Calculus counts as one math course, AP US History as two social science courses----assuming you achieved a decent grade. A link to the AP credit guide has been posted before in this forum.</p>
