<p>How many books should CAS students read over the summer? and is it REALLY OPTIONAL?
Does the list of books change each year?</p>
<p>Every year there is a book that the incoming freshman are suppose to read. They announced it at the orientation and last year it was “Middlesex.”</p>
<p>so is it optional or do we need to read it for the school year?</p>
<p>They say it is mandatory but I think it is optional. I read it but my daughter did not. During Welcome week, there are some activities that are centered around the book.
Whether or not there is anything beyond that I would not really know as I am not in the classroom.</p>
<p>i did not even do it. not like they will test you (maybe games but it’s non-academic).</p>
<p>Is summer reading just for incoming CAS freshmen or is it for all incoming freshmen, regardless of which school you’re in?</p>
