CAS vs. CALS

As an incoming senior looking to apply to Cornell, I was wondering which was the "better school." I'm from NY so it's easy to understand the lure of CALS. What strong points does one school over another? Which is the "easier" school for a Biology major? Answers would be greatly appreciated =) [I'm trying to figure out which should put down as my first choice]

depends how you define easier

if you dont like having language requirement and other stricter requirements than go for CALS…

CAS = More Classes/Major choices but more requirements.
CALS = Less Classes/Major choices, but less requirements.

Just remember, what ever you choose as your first choice, don’t hope that the second one ends up being a backup plan. There is a .005% of getting into your second choice if the first one denies/waitlist you.

Wow really? I personally never intended to apply to two schools but I never knew so few applicants got into their second picks. I presume only a handful get in per year?

Actually it’s 0.5% chance, not 0.005.

But still not great.
