<p>I agree strongly with manikinbrahma. Most of the kids who get in with low scores will have a valid, in the opinion of admission officers, reason: recruited athletes, specific programs (i.e. art), international, or super-connected legacies. Sorry to break it to you but your application indicates none of those things. Yes, kids get in with your scores; no, it’s not at all likely. And, Millhouse, what separates the OP from the rest of the pack? I see nothing so distinctive in her extracurricular activities that is truly unique.</p>
<p>i did forget to mention that i’m in the magnet program but im not sure i mentioned it in my app. either.
i think the ppl who got in with my scores had a hook, like being an under represented minority. someone told me that the essay is 15-20% of the application so hopefully my essays were strong enough.</p>
