CASE exam for language placement vs. SAT IIs

Hey, I was wondering whether its better to take the case or Sat IIs for placement into spanish. like, which one is easier, longer, etc.

also, what is usually on the case exam like is there multiple choice, grammar stuff, listening?

and how do you study for case (since theres so much books out there for sat IIs)

I don’t think you can use SAT IIs for placement into spanish classes?

I might be wrong though.

i thought the case exam was for those who had already taken the AP or SAT II…

i found the AP test to be just as gruesome than the CASE…

You can qualify for the CASE exam through a high score on the regular language placement exam or a high score on the AP. I chose not to study for CASE… you don’t want to cram right before, because then you’ll be in the wrong level for your ability and you’d be scrambling to catch up the whole semester.
