Hello! I was accepted to case for computer engineering on saturday, with a large amount of grants, making it far less expensive than any of the other schools I've applied to. I've seen that case's engineering rankings aren't nearly as high as, say, Purdue, Virginia Tech, Texas AM, etc, yet I've read that they're a very good engineering school. How does the CE/EE program compare to these schools, and are the rankings for case's electrical/computer engineering program a good representation of the department?
-On a side note, the thinkbox looks very cool

I would be interested in someone’s response to this as well. In addition, do Case computer engineering students have the opportunity to work in multidisciplinary fashion with biomedical engineering? What are the research options? - thanks!

Although personally I have no interest in any medical fields, which appears to be a large part of case.

Rankings wise, Case’s EECS/CompE programs don’t do very well. However, I’m confident that the academic quality and reputation is strong enough for you to be an attractive candidate for any employer in the field.

Case’s students definitely do have the opportunity to do research with other departments. I know several CS/CompE students who do biomedical research. For example, I have a CS friend who did a 7 month Co-Op with Phillips developing next gen MRI devices.
