Case Western Applicants Class of 2021!

lol this may be late, but case superscores the ACT right? On their website it says they do, but one of my friends who goes there says they don’t.

@therealdeal23 This is from Case’s website:

“Test scoring
CWRU policy is to “superscore” our students’ test results, which means the university takes into account our applicants’ best scores on each section of the SAT and ACT, respectively. If you took a test more than once, you will be evaluated on the highest score you received in each individual section of the exam.”

Ok this may sound like a silly question but for the life of me I can’t find an answer to it anywhere! I submitted my application to Case back in early October and indicated in Naviance and on the Common App that I was going EA. I also submitted the supplements for the PPSP in Medicine as Pre-Med is my intended field of study. I never received the email stating that decisions would be released on 12/19 instead of 12/17, so I am kinda concerned. Is it because I applied to the PPSP? I’m just very confused on when I’m going to receive an admissions decision and would appreciate any words of advice that anyone could offer me. Thanks in advance and good luck to all you guys!

@mrdifran If you applied for the undergrad/MD option it clearly stated that this was for EA/ED only so I think you’re fine.

@mrdifran As someone who also applied for PPSP and EA, I was notified after submitting that I would have to choose one of the two and that without a response, it would be assumed that I would want to be part of PPSP, instead of EA. PPSP notifications are supposed to come out by 2/1, rather than the 12/19 notification date for EA.

I didn’t send in a superscored ACT. Will they re-evaluate scholarships if I move my score from a 32-34?

@mrdifran I had the same issue at first. You are not able to do PPSP and apply EA. I decided to withdraw myself from PPSP instead of trying my luck.

Son probably would if the aid is very good ( close to 60K as the NPC says in our case ). Else NO.

We are waiting on Case too. Sitting on a 37C ACT and 1720 rSAT.

12 hrs…8 mins to go…

international student here.

good luck to everyone

Good luck to you too! @KingYusHalo

Good luck everyone! Don’t stress about the change from 12/17 to 12/19. Case moved the date by two days last year as well.

Yeah, but don’t they know that we are crawling out of our skin waiting in anticipation?? :-SS

@ilikesporks 37 act? Impressive lol

Any word???

Nothing for me as of a few minutes ago

The email said 8 EST so the wait continues

For those who may have missed it, there was an email you should have received a few days ago (look up thread) that said emails for EA/ED applicants should be sent out around 8PM EST with instructions on accessing decisions. Make sure you have received this email, and if not, check your spam folder.

Good luck everyone.

I applied EA to Case, but have not received any email from them so far even about the delay.
