Case Western Merit Scholarships...Interview?

@Launching Nothing here. Based on the post from @Proudmama2 ^^ I’m guessing it’s no.

The email response my DD received said by March 20th. She hasn’t received any email about the scholarship she applied for to date.

I haven’t heard anything either.

Maybe if accepted, info. about a scholarship or an interview will be included on the portal. Just assuming since there has been no word.

@Winky1 Sadly, he was already accepted EA so we already have portal access. Oh well.
But best wishes to the scholarship winners!

Does anyone know if the A.W. Smith Innovation Scholarship is a four-year scholarship?

@rishj09 Since it’s not clear on Case’s website, I suggest you contact your admissions officer directly and ask. If you are a finalist, congratulations!

@hafamama Thanks! I emailed the person listed on the notification letter asking for a clarification.

So my S got his admissions letter today! Yay!! In the letter was a University scholarship. So I guess that means he is no longer in consideration for Wolf, Stokes, Treuhaft??? or should he get a separate announcement on April 1? Site is so unclear.

@ccerob I agree that the website is not clear about the competitive scholarships. @Proudmama2 in Post #14 and #21 received info that finalists would hear on March 20, and that non-finalists wouldn’t be notified. I saw on the applicant thread that a student who was accepted RD was named a finalist for the Treuhaft (Congrats to @Maschinenmädchen). And…since my S hasn’t heard by now, I figure he’s not a finalist.
Good luck to everyone!

Does anyone know what the on-campus interview will entail for the A.W. Smith Innovation Scholarship?

Question regarding the timing/deadlines. As the deadlines for the competitive scholarships are prior to finding out acceptance, then students compete for scholarships, write essays, etc. before they know if they’ve been accepted? Any information is appreciated.

EA and ED 1 results are out by 12/7, ED 2 is by Feb 2. Regular Decision results come out by March 20.

A complete application for admission and a complete scholarship application must be received by Jan. 15

So yes, if you apply RD, you have to apply for the scholarship before you know you are accepted.
If this is an issue, just apply EA.
