See you at Rochester
Sure!

We in the Office of Undergraduate Admission at Case Western Reserve University appreciate your continued interest. I’m writing to give you an update on our wait list process.
While in some years we have known prior to May 1 that we will make offers of admission from the wait list, it does not appear that we will know until after May 1 this year. We will be in touch by the end of the first week of May with an update.
It is important that you secure a place elsewhere by May 1, with the understanding that you will likely forfeit that enrollment deposit should you have the opportunity to enroll from our wait list.
We remain hopeful we will be able to offer admission to students from the wait list, and as you know, we will use the responses to these emails to identify interested students. We kindly ask that you click a link below to let us know where you stand:
I wish to remain on the wait list. Case Western Reserve University is one of my top choices.
I am still interested in Case Western Reserve. Please keep me on the wait list.
I’ve made other plans. Please remove me from the wait list and close my application file.
Thanks for taking the time to let us know. If you have any questions, please contact us in the Office of Undergraduate Admission at admission@case.edu or 216.368.4450. Best regards,
Bob Robert R. McCullough
Does anyone know if CWRU is able to open a document from Google docs?
@Winky1 my son is in the same boat. Waitlisted Columbia U, CW, Wash U STL.
He is enrolled in our state Stem university that has an excellent program. He’s not happy about it and is frustrated. He didn’t have a school that he wanted to do ED. He is visiting this Saturday. Hopefully he will feel better after the visit. Has to take a Algebra and Trig year for math placement and he is in AB Calculus. I’m going to hear complaining after that he could have used that time to work on all the homework and prep for finals and AP exams. Good luck to everyone.
Does a student need to officially reject the admission on the university web page, or it is assumed so if the student dies not pay the enrollment deposit? This may be a naïve question, but wanted to doublecheck. Please let me know. Thanks
I think if a deposit is not received by May 1st, a university knows the student is not coming. I also think it’s nice if a student can turn down an acceptance ahead of May 1st if they are totally sure they are not attending. Some schools make it very easy to decline an acceptance by providing a button or link on a portal, and others don’t have anything obvious for a student to decline ahead of time.
@“Maschinenmädchen” Congrats on the admission to Stanford! One of my son’s friends applied 36 ACT and all but didn’t get in. He has a full ride at our state U and is considering trying to transfer next year.
Well they offered me a spot in the class of 2023 soo… i guess that ends this chapter with CWRU
My son as well…requiring a gap year.
@donkeyKongGenius , the email also has the option of just staying on their regular WL for 2018.
Has anyone from the cwru wait list been accepted. My son just received his rejection.
After months of anticipation (my d applied in EA was deferred to regular action and then waitlisted) she received her rejection…well, we will happily stay in the UC system!!
All I’ve seen anywhere on boards are accepted 2019 or rejected…no admits 2018 yet.
@Winky1 unfortunately i’ve already decided where Im going and grown tired of waiting for a response
@donkeyKongGenius Can you post the email that says that you were offered a spot in the class of 2023 on the CWRU Waitlist FAQs post for future readers?
I posted it over there yesterday @jennxx .
It’s post #61 on page 5 @ jennxx
