@desie1 Take it with a grain of salt when multiple first time posters are listing incredible stats, acceptances to ED schools but not Case, etc…chances are they are not legitimate, real people!
Hey guys I had question about the enrollment? Until when do we have to confirm our enrollment?
For early action?
Daughter was accepted with scholarship and grant of $24k. Not enough to make Case a viable option though. Expected cost is $66k less the scholarship leaves a net cost of $42k. Is Case worth $42k per year? I’m thinking not as there are better choices for the same or less money.
Where can I find the major I got in? Can’t seem to find it anywhere
@IMNOBODY42 you better make those better choices a reality by getting applications in now. Your in-state schools will likely be cheaper, but $42K (fully loaded with housing, food, and incidentals) is sort of a low amount at a private or out-of-state public unless you qualify for financial aid (and Case does not meet your need). Many state schools have deadlines earlier than this to qualify for honors programs or scholarships. Most merit scholarship program deadlines have passed.
@whatwhat2020 You don’t have to confirm enrollment until decision day on May 1 (but you can enjoy 5.5 more months of knowing you have a good college to go to than almost all of your peers). Congratulations !
You are in Case. You can choose any major except the nursing and the other pre-professional programs.
@4kids2graduate Thanks! I was reading it quickly and didn’t look to see if they were regular posters.
If the letter didn’t say anything does that mean I got in my first choice?
I got deferred with a 32 on the ACT and a 4.0 UW, 4.3 W.
think so…
I already sent out an e-mail to the admission officer saying that I would like to withdraw my application. However, I think the decision has already been made; I was still able to check on the portal and see the decision yesterday.
D admitted with $31K scholarship. Probably not enough to make it affordable, but Case has always been her biggest financial reach. ACT - 35, SAT - 2250, no SAT II’s, did work to demonstrate interest in the school as much as possible. That seems to be a big factor with Case and was a point they made repeatedly on our tour.
Accepted 33 ACT, 3.9 UW GPA with a 25.5 scholarship!
Child was deferred with a 36 ACT composite, 800s on SAT Subject tests (Math Level 2 and Chemistry), 4.0 unweighted HS GPA, great interview, and very impressive extracurriculars. Clueless.
ahhh got in! yaya w/ $31000 per year ahh
@musicpen Did you just get yours? I’m still waiting. What does it look like and did you get an email? And can someone please tell me whether I should check my email or the portal and what it looks like? (the notification, whether it is a newly available link or section?)
Does anyone know if they send an official letter to your house?
@musicianforlife I got an email at around 12:30 that said an update has been added to my application portal, and they provided the link I needed. They should have given you a CWRU Network ID, which you need to use to log into the portal. I’d say to check the portal (which should say there’s an update) first. If it’s still not up by tomorrow, email/call admissions. But they could be off for break, so you may not hear back for awhile unfortunately
That’s great, is $34k all scholarship or including some loan?
