Case Western Reserve VS. University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign

Fellow CC Members I need help between choosing one of the following two universities:

Case Western Reserve University with $20,000 scholarships. I am going to either major in biology or biomedical engineering.

I have also gotten into the University of Illinois which is in-state. I am planning to major in biochemistry or biology. I have been admitted to the James Scholar Honors Program at UIUC too.

My first dilemma is choosing the actual major to study. I want to either go off to medical school or get a job and go off to business school. Which major, biomedical engineering or biology or biochemistry would give me the best chances to get into medical school or business school?

Furthermore which school overall would be easier to receive higher grades and which has better placement into business/medical schools? Does the size of the University of Illinois hinder me from getting good teacher recommendations?

What about the locations of Cleveland and Urbana-Champaign? Does a declining city like Cleveland have any opportunities for a pre-med/pre-business student? Does Urbana-Champaign have any opportunities at all?

Any advice and help regarding the two universities would be helpful!

I don't think these two are different enough to choose on any reason except preferred lifestyle and total cost. I'd probably pick UIUC.

Cleveland has a business and medical base many fold greater than UI. But UI would be much more well rounded as a college experience.
