I need to decide between CWRU and UPitt. I did not get any financial aid from UPitts and CRWU gave me some. The difference will be 30K more if I chose CRWU. This includes tuition and all other costs listed on the financial aid package. I want to pursue med and was admitted to regular (ie not Pitts honor). Is it worth paying $30K if the difference in outcome is minimal? CRWU ranks higher than Pitts but is it worth $30K? Any advise will be greatly appreciated
CWRU is terrific but so is Pitt, and I think Pitt is the clear winner here. Bank the $ for med school. Congratulations on two excellent options.
Look at the financial aspect. Both are wonderful schools. Students that are lucky enough to choose between them will do well at either school as long as the school feels right and fits. That means if you like both places. Once that answer is yes go with the one that saves you money with all else really being equal. The rankings for you are not important.
$30k per year or $7500 a year ?
Yep. If it were me I do the 7500 a year at Pitt - as long as you feel comfortable at the school.
Thank you all for the great feedback.
Also For clarity, my parents will have to pay $30K more per year if I chose CRWU.
$30k a year. Save the loot. Save it for med school. Good luck
