let’s get it started
yep, first post here. First-year international applicant. Definitely thinking about attending Case if admitted.
deferred ea. hoping to pull through rd
Does anyone have an educated prediction as to when CWRU will release its decisions?
@jjh2003 if the past is any indication, two years ago my daughter received her decision on Saturday, March 9th.
And last year it was Saturday, March 15th…
Admissions told me march 20th
Admissions website (in upper right corner, indicates set date of March 20): http://admission.case.edu/apply/applicationinstructions.aspx#
Per the email that just came in, links to secure decision links will start being sent at 12 pm EDT tomorrow. Good luck everyone!
Ahh I’m so happy they’re releasing decisions earlier than planned! Good luck y’all!
I’m actually kinda disappointed by the lack of activity on this thread right now considering decisions come out in less than 24 hours
^^^. Got a likely letter so Im just waiting for the aid at this point ~:>
@dvgbhs Did you mean you get some sort of letter that you’re admitted?
Yes. Likely letters are sent out to the top of the applicant pool to let them know early and get them excited about the school so that they are more ‘likely’ to attend.
@dvgbhs Same here (likely letter from Case). Hoping that the merit/financial aid comes through!
After looking at the results from last year, expecting a waitlist for my high stat son who has little demonstrated interest.
What exactly is written in a likely letter?
Dear dvgbhs:
Congratulations! I am pleased to send you good news about your application for undergraduate admission to Case Western Reserve University. Based on a preliminary review of your application, the admissions committee has determined that you are an especially promising candidate.
While this communication is not an official offer of admission, the admissions committee anticipates being able to extend an official offer when admission decisions are released on March 20. (Obviously they bumped that up to today)
You have achieved distinction as a scholar and as a strong contributor to your school and community. At Case Western Reserve, you will have the opportunity to continue your strong record of achievement and make a significant impact on our community. While a talented student like you will have many options, I hope you strongly consider Case Western Reserve.
If you have any questions about your application, admission status, or Case Western Reserve in general, please contact me directly. I look forward to hearing from you, and I hope to count you as a member of the entering Class of 2019 at Case Western Reserve University.
Sincerely,
Robert R. McCullough
Director of Undergraduate Admission
