Case Western vs Tufts for Engineering

There is a very old thread on this subject but I’m looking for more recent insight.

I was accepted to both case western and tufts with a nice scholarship from case (nothing from tufts). I’ve never been to Case, Ive been to Tufts and like the campus and Boston.

I think Case might be more renown for engineering than Tufts, but I want to study Electrical/Computer Engineering and Case seems to focus more on Mechanical. I’d appreciate any opinions.

For the record, I’m probably a typical engineering type… i like to build things, I like exploring technology. I will probably play intramural sports in college, but i dont particularly care about university sports and I dont care whether there are non-engineering majors on campus or not. I DO care about the engineering labs/facilities and who teaches the classes. I want to be challenged by being around smart people and meet people that want to do great things.

Hey! I’ve also gotten into Case and Tufts this year. From what I’ve seen, it seems like Case is a better engineering school. Even if it isn’t as well known in the general community, it has a great rep in the engineering world. Case is more “nerdy” while Tufts is more intellectual…Like Tufts students are more into liberal artsy things while Case is more hard science. If you care about location, Boston is obviously great, but Cleveland is an underrated great college town. I loved the campus when I visited. I’m leaning towards Case rn for engineering physics
