I didn't think I would have to chose between these two but I made an appeal for merit @ Rochester and it worked marvelously bringing their cost about the same (give or take 1k a year).

I don't know what I want to study yet It will be either engineering or econ/business. I guess whats most important for me are the job opportunities when I graduate. I visited both school and they were both nice however I prefer Cleveland, OH over Rochester, NY. The Rochester campus was very nice probably more so than Case.

I've always thought that engineering @ Case was better than Rochester however econ and business are better at Rochester. Case has Co-ops, more corporate presence, and more recruiters (I think).

Anyway I really am torn, I got my new Financial aid package about 20m ago and I have about 9 days to confirm enrollment at one of these places!

Thanks for any feedback!

So they gave you more merit or need-based money?

JOIN ME AT CASE!

but to be a little more helpful(or perhaps not)...It seems like a lot of people have trouble choosing between these two schools. I really don't know very much about UofR, but it does sound nice. With academics and prestige being rather similar, it comes down to the atmosphere of these two schools. If you want that urban life(which i love), then i think Case is for you. Downtown Cleveland is a very short(and free) busride away. You say UR has a nice campus, so if you want that more structured campus feel, then i'd say head over to UR.

Case has a very good engineering program, and they provide for a lot of opportunities (coop as you mentioned) and i think the faculty is very willing to get undergrads involved in things such as independent research if that's what you want. I believe they have good business, although it's not the most prestigous out there, yet as you say...they have a very good corporate presence which probably provides for good recruiting. Obviously, i would choose Case as i'm gonna be there next fall lol, but these schools seem to come down to basic atmosphere and fit.

I loved the focused and intellectual atmosphere i found at Case, so if thats what you want...then i'll see yah soon :)

GoodLuckO

I got exactly the same $$ package

Why Rochester?
