<p>I was wondering if Case Western is a good school for biology and pre med? I know its a pretty good engineering school but I haven't heard much about pre med/bio. I'm also curious about campus life in general there.</p>

<p>Case western is a superb life science-pre med school & a less obvious choice because so many people want to get into harvard, yale, georgetown, columbia.</p>
<p>When we toured there last spring, they talked up the opportunities for undergrad pre-med types to do research at the associated medical center.</p>
<p>Many top students in Cleveland go to Case Western University.</p>
<p>Because it is in Cleveland, rather than a more sexy place, it is probably easier to get into than if it were located in Boston.</p>

<p>University Hospitals is right there on campus. There are a lot of research opportunities.</p>

<p>I am pretty sure Case is known for medicine. (at least here in Ohio) I have known several nurses who have furthered their education and become nurse practitioners at Case. And yes, you have University Hospitals and The Cleveland Clinic very close!</p>
<p>Yanksfan, i know several students who attend/attended Case for pre med. All were very very happy.</p>
<p>Don’t discount Cases’s quality because it’s stats are not as shiny as some schools not hobbled by being in Cleveland…it works to your advantage! A better chance at admission, generous merit aid, and a virtual monopoly on a myriad of prestigious research/internship/volunteer opportunities right on campus.</p>
