@thumper1 not “all”, some of them (ex, length of residence period…). I should write it is some hypothetical situation at the first of all… my bad
Yes, Agree with @thumper1 and @Madison85 Everything that was previously posted about legitimacy of residency was argued and countered by you. That’s not hypothetical if you’re constantly trying to prove yourself right.
Saying that you were granted in-state residency within a couple of posts indicates that you didn’t physically walk in to a residency counselor and produce physical copies of your W2s and rent receipts, proof of income/loans, and self sufficiency, marriage license, etc.
This reeks of a scam and it’s sad that students whose parents have followed the rules, and paid taxes for years, have to have limited financial aid because people without ethics abuse our state funds. These scammers get free money from their parents and then abuse the system that was made for legitimate residents.
Lots of people are reading these posts, including university personnel, and if the online CC community can see through your efforts, you can bet the UCs will question these back-paddling responses.
Oh, and if it doesn’t happen immediately, the UCs can and have rescinded degrees. Immigration would be very interested in this post.
The OP has received a great deal of information. Let’s let the OP process that now.
