Casual Restaurants

In NOLA this week helping S2 move into his off campus apartment. If it is NOLA it is time to eat. This time I will stick with a couple of sandwich places.

While here, we found a place tired parents looking for a great cold beer and some very tasty food can appreciate. It's called "Down the Hatch." It is located just off Magazine St. (where it splits off to the left) on Sophie Wright Place (that is the street name). It serves food late and specializes in BBQ, has great hamburgers and lamb burgers, and features some special dishes. We had some pulled-pork nachos that were excellent.

If one is looking for amazing Po-Boys look no further than Crabby Jack's. It is located at 428 Jefferson Highway (AKA Claiborne) and is only open from 10 AM until 3 PM. They have a great menu and it is might good. One will not be dissapointed.

We had a good lunch at Gott Gourmet on Magazine Street–excellent wraps and salads and not expensive. Got a shock when we walked into Camilia Grill–no wait, we were seated immediately.
