got in!!! for nursing :)))

congrats! wannabanurse–was your cardinal station updated/did you call/or did you actually receive a letter? i hate being in california applying to all east coast schools the mail and time differences are not fun :(

Congrats!! I was accepted for nursing as well. Maybe I’ll see you next year :).

Got accepted as a business major!

Is anyone else having trouble with the Cardinal Station link today? I accessed it yesterday and found out I was admitted (:D) But now its spazzing out when I click the link- it keeps refreshing and bringing up and error link in the URL. Anybody else having this issue???

is there an fb group for class of 2016?

D accepted! Has anyone actually received anything in the mail from CUA? Or just through Cardinal Station? We can just see it on Cardinal Station. Thx!

Congratulations! I haven’t received anything in the mail yet either. I emailed my rep on Friday to thank her for her help throughout the admissions process and she told me that they had just sent on the packets on Friday. I live in NY so I am assuming that mine may come tomorrow or Tuesday. I’ll post as soon as I receive something in the mail.

Congrats to all of you.

My daughter is deferred EA, and we are disappointed and puzzled. She has high SATS, strong GPA, lots of activities, and is the valedictorian of our suburban public high school. We visited CUA’s Open House too. What did we do wrong? Admissions didn’t offer anything specific, but said some students show more of an interest than others, and that some are a more obvious fit than others. :(.

I got defered! D= I’m so confused
I have a 3.7 GPA
1930 SAT score (not superscored)
I’ve taken honors and an AP class
My ECs are good

…are they discriminating against me because I’m not catholic…? ahah I have no idea honestly

Just got my big envelope in the mail!

Congrats to all who have been admitted. D is still waiting to hear. Nothing has changed in her Cardinal Station Account so I’m a little worried, especially with the news of the other deferrals. She is a strong student (3.9 UW GPA, 33 ACT, ranked 4 of 370) and applied as an engineering major. Hoping the news is good; she loved CUA when she visited.

Still haven’t gotten my decision! I have a good gpa and a 1950 SAT, 1300 on two. Who else is in the same boat as me?

Hey guys…I know its suprising that some of you guys got deferred even though you had amazing stats and yet I got in with so much worse then you…My theory is that since you have such a high GPA and SAT score that CUA knew it was a safety for you. Instead of taking up an admission slot with someone who will probably decline…they decided to defer you and accept you RD if space permits.

My D just got her acceptance on Cardinal Station! Apparently we were checking on the wrong part of Cardinal Station where we kept seeing “application complete” but I read a previous CC post that mentioned checking “Campus Finances” and found her Acceptance status there. She is thrilled!

I got deferred from Catholic with a 1950 SAT FROM A CATHOLIC SCHOOL. This is complete bs!!! This school does not like honors and AP STUDENTS. I GOT A 1300 ON THE CRITICAL READING AND MATH. THEY ARE COMPLETELY BIASED!

Sad to hear so many well qualified students are getting deferred. Makes you wonder about the school’s commitment to academics…(they have a reputation for being a drinking school) Sad to see they don’t want to encourage more young Catholic intellects instead of discouraging them by deferring them…

DEFERRED!? 1800 SAT, 4.09 WGPA 3.4UW, 700+ community service hours, hispanic, top public school, all honors and ap/ib classes, sports, good recs…where do i go from here?? Catholic was supposed to be my safety…

Sorry to hear about the deferrals.

We did get word of acceptance, but have not received anything in the mail. Has anyone else not received anything at this point in the mail? I see that some have posted that they’ve received a big white envelope.

Thx.

When did you all complete your applications by? According to CardinalStation, mine was completed 11/10 and I still have not heard. CUA is supposed to be a safety for me, but hearing about all the deferrals makes me nervous…
