<p>Do what cptofthehouse suggested . . . look at what it would cost you to attend each of the schools you’re considering. Then look at the cost for Columbia State Community College.</p>
<p>Bottom line: Which one can you afford if the only aid you get is the $5,645 Pell grant?</p>
<p>You can also add in your earnings from a summer job and a part-time job during the school year, but try to find a school you can afford without any student loans.</p>
<p>If you start at the community college, you might well be able to transfer to your local state university in two years, in which case you’d NEVER have to pay for housing while you’re in college. If your parents don’t mind having you around another few years, that will save you a HUGE amount of money! :)</p>
