@RMNiMiTz haven’t you seen the 2006 movie “Accepted” with Justin Long?
@iwannabe_Brown I literally snorted I started laughing so hard at your comment lol.
Perhaps the OP might want to consider not bringing a backpack with prohibited materials to a test, should s/he get a chance at a new school.
@iwannabe_Brown
Nope, never seen it, but in 2 hours I will have.
I cant believe this is even a thread. You cheated deal with it. If I’m confused on a closed book exam I don’t “peak because I’m confused” I work through the problem put some answer down and hope for the best. Sorry but it’s your fault and you should be subject to your universities honor code. Don’t expect anyone to try and bail you out for cheating out all the students who studied for the exam and took it the right way. You’re absolutely crazy.
If you are going to cheat in the future, be a ton smarter about it! Like use some very tiny paper that you hide in your sleeve but not going into a backpack. How obvious and stupid of you! I do not understand why you were alone taking a test either. Whats that all about? Do you really want a college education, or do you just want an A? Go find a job and forget about college.
Are you a domestic or international student? If international, this could effect your visa status.
I expect you are right, as his last checkin was on May 12. He didn’t like the responses he was getting, I’m sure!
More likely the OP has 2 screen names and set this one up to discuss the cheating. Likely reading from the other screenname.
Yes but we’re largely talking among ourselves at this point.
Well…what IS he going to tell his parents about why he isn’t returning to college?? Clearly, they are going to know something is up.
@Sportsman88- Good information, especially the tax dependent part if applicable. I am curious if the parents contact information would come from information OP provides and could possibly alter or from said taxes.
See these fun semantics we are going back and forth about? THIS is the case for hiring a lawyer familiar in the field. I’m not one, are you? Because otherwise we’re both just armchair quarterbacking it. And NO I am NOT defending him or his actions, so for the boy-scout squad itching for an argument, please look elsewhere.
How is this student going to hire a lawyer?
And no one is going back and forth about semantics. You were just corrected.
Again, what di you imagine an atty is going to do, lol? Read the kid the student handbook?
And the atty may have zero standing in a college internal honor review. Plus, how many attys defend 2nd time cheat offenses or are even up on the institutional perspective?
This is not something for a lawyer: the kid cheated, it’s an internal offense (it’s not a crime to cheat on a test but it’s against college bylaws.)
The lawyer can come later, to help find a college to transfer to, perhaps?? I really don’t know how a lawyer can help.
Obviously the teacher engaged in entrapment by putting OP in a room by himself and allowing him to keep the backpack in the room. What a bunch of dummies in this thread.
@RMNiMiTz I’m sorry for your loss (of 2 hours)
@iwannabe_Brown
It wasn’t too bad
Hey, my cousin Vinny is an attorney who helps students pro bono. Maybe he could help!
MODERATOR’S NOTE:
On that note, I think it’s time to move on, since the OP has clearly disappeared. Closing thread.
