Caught cheating

I was caught cheating at a community college. Is there a chance for me to get into another community college with this on my record?

I think it would depend on the schools, the severity of the offense, and the degree you own up to the act and show contrition. Contact the schools with particulars to find out.

That could be really tough… And I am not sure if you would be able to get into a 4 year university with that on your records.

If you apply to transfer to another institution, that place will most likely require a letter from the first one indicating that you are “in good standing”. This means that you need to start at the CC where you were caught cheating, and find out what exactly they require of you in order to get into good standing. Do you need to fail the course and repeat it? Do you need to take a semester or a year off before you can start back?

This does not automatically mean that you can’t get an education anywhere, but it will definitely make some things more difficult. Sit down with your advisor and with the people in the counseling center and start developing a plan for your future.

Could i continue my education at another community college though?

Explain what you did (or PM me)
