Hi. I’m a sophomore in high school, and I was caught cheating on the Ohio State test for Geometry. What I did was indeed wrong, and I genuinely regret it. I studied all night on Khan Academy and forced myself to learn the topics, but I just crashed. All I did was explore the high school geometry course about geometry foundation and congruence and get full master points for about a week. I wrote a small cheat sheet about the geometry formulas such as the volume or area of the shapes and the distance formula. That’s it. I wrote all of it before class begins to start the test. I hate myself and have low-esteem for what I did. I didn’t even bring a phone that day but was caught cheating for copying some of the formulas of a study guide that my teacher gave me before the test. Tomorrow I will be taking a standardized test on Monday, and I don’t know what the consequences I will be getting. I don’t know what will happen then, but I square from the bottom of my heart that I won’t cheat again from now on. If I will be facing the consequences, what should I do?
Talk to your guidance counselor, because this will vary from school to school. Ask what consequences there will be, and ask if this gets reported to colleges.
There’s not much you can do, other than resolve not to cheat again. You will be tempted in the future, since cheating is so rampant. Stick to your guns!
I don’t know what’s happening to me right now since Ali still taking the test so should I just wait?
We can’t help you at this point. Just wait.
