Cause for being rescinded?

I dropped my linear algebra class like two months ago and forgot to tell berkeley LOL. I'm going to call them tomorrow though about it.

Will they being like this guy he didn't tell us about it "RESCIND!" ?

i mean its not like im hiding it or anything. i just forgot to tell them. oh and im in L&S if that means anything...

They might they might not, just call them and see

it actually is the act of dropping and not just the failure to tell them that is a problem. They pick who to admit in part by looking at the rigor of your senior year. If they knew your load woudl be lighter, they might have selected someone else for your spot. It really depends on how it appears to them. Someone that drops multiple hard classes and skates through senior year is more likely to be a rescind than someone that has a valid reason for dropping a single class.

It is all going to be in how you express the cause of this. If it is reasonable and not simply a way to ditch hard work, they are likely to forgive it. You do need to contact them and do a good job describing the ‘why’. Don’t wait until they see the transcript and think you were misleading them about your senior workload.

Yep it seems like you will get rejected. Just go to a community college and save money.

You guys are cruel. >_<

Keep in mind that if they admit you, they WANT to work with you. Tell them as soon as possible. Personally, I think you are SMART to drop Linear Algebra. I am currently taking the course as well and honestly, I am failing it (low Cs, and hanging on). SO I respect your decision. I hope the best of luck! I hope to see you next year. ^.^
