Caustic vehement debate resolved.

I have received a response from the test makers over at ETS and they indicated that (A) Vehement is indeed the correct answer. Although the specialist indicated that "vehement" and "caustic" share similar definitions, lines 55-68 can be best described as "deeply felt" and "forcibly expressed," which best fits "vehement" rather than "caustic." Although I am disappointed that "vehement" is the answer, I do agree that it is the better choice than "caustic."

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!! lol

Now we should get an answer for the NZ question lol.

Glad to know that the answer is indeed “vehement.” :D.

that brings my total wrong to 5. I hope I didn’t get any more wrong so i can maintain a 700 in CR

Notanengineer was wrong too. Prospective was right lol.

For the record, I was correct as well ;).

It’s such a burden being right ALL the time.

^yes we were correct :)

Thank you so much!!! That just made my night :)

@Loseyouself…Sour 'bout that vehemence

Although I disagree that the passage can be best described as “deeply felt” or “forcibly expressed,” I guess I was wrong.

Yes. Yes you were. At least you got that right.

Woooh when I saw the title of this thread I was 90% sure it was going to say “caustic is the correct answer.” PHEW this is relieving.

I think a few caustic campers have some promises to uphold…MWAHAHA

YES. I’ll be so happy if I get somewhere in the 700s on the CR…
