I personally would like to use both. I'm about to purchase the book now, but might consider the online course for the future---mainly to get more practice tests. My Question is: Are the practice questions/tests on the online course the same as the blue book or entirely different ones? In other words, are they just two different ways of getting the same exact info. and questions? or is there a discrepency? thnx in advance, sorry if already ever mentioned!

totally different.
But if you just want the test(no answer explanations) you can get those somewhere in the CC.

Yea they're different

just buy the book...you can get the online course for free...just search on google

thanks everyone, and if anyone else has any insight on this matter, please comment!

Your school may have subscribed to the online course (check with the college/guidance office) and in that case you would be able to access it for free with your school's code...

I used the blue book and the online course, and I found that the online course was useful for the automatic essay-scoring service as well as the answer explanations for online questions AND book questions. It was useful to review answers and see why a given answer was really the best one (and why other answers were wrong or not the best).

yeah, i checked and my school doesn't do that. would anyone, by chance, have a school code/password for the online course? I'd much appreciate it.

search google. Hint: the whole state of georgia receives the SAT online course for free.

yeah, nevermind, i'll just read the book. thanks everyone

search google. Hint: a high school of GA has got the password and all in its front page :D (it doesn't require any hint anyway, if u want it PM me, I'll give the info and all)
