How accurate would you say the cb book is for the SAT and for the SAT Subject Tests?? By accuracy i mean 1) the tests are realistic and 2) the curving system is extremely realistic.

I found them to be extremely realistic (especially because the people that wrote them are the same people that write the tests). However, whether it be because I was more focused or whatever I did better on the actual test. But they are certainly an accurate representation.

I don't know about subject tests, but I would assume the same goes for them.

do you think their scaling is realistic?

They're official. They're as realistic as you can get!

The tests in the CB blue book are not actual tests, but questions taken from actual tests and re-arranged (that is why the blue book curves are given as ranges, not exact scores). Many of those questions appeared in the "10 Real SATs" book which had the old (before Mar 2005) test format.

But until a new version of "10" shows up, probably the blue book is the most realistic practice test resource.
