Is the grader legit? How is it even graded? (based on length...?)

Nope.

Yup.

LMAO, wow.

Also, are all the CB Online Course tests from past tests (ie. QAS)? The first 2 are and so is the pretest.

^No, several of the online course tests are not QAS tests, but are not from the Blue Book either. More info can be found in [thread=956804]this thread[/thread].

Anyone find the 2nd Online CR portion to be harder? I don’t know why but I scored 40-50 pts. lower on that one and now I’m stressing that I haven’t been improving…?

EDIT: also, how do you high scorers make sure that you get the highest possible on EVERY section on a test? I keep doing really well on 1 or 2 and lower than what I can do on the other(s). For ex., I should be able to get 800 on M and W all the time and CR was my difficulty. On the last few tests I’ve been practicing I was giving myself more time to complete CR (to get used to the patterns, etc.) and score 800CR, 760M, 780W, then today I got 740CR, 750M, 800W…this is s trend for me.

I just want to ‘max out’ and get the highest that I can do in each. I don’t know why I keep messing up…all my math mistakes today were silly errors and CR were 4 errors and 2 omit…all 4 errors were things that were difficult and not dumb errors.

^

Not really.

I mentioned this in my FAQ:

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/sat-preparation/956804-college-board-sat-online-course-faq.html

Basically a story copied and pasted from CNN that has nothing to do with the prompt received a 12.

^really? damn. I did worse on this CR section…and can anyone respond to my ‘edit’ on post 5?

pls answer my ‘EDIT’ in post no.5. I’m having difficulty in just scoring my highest on ALL 3 sections on any given test…the section scores keep fluctuating…

I have the six tests from the old SAT online course, but I know that the new online course has 10 tests. Does anyone know if the four recently added tests are previous SAT QAS? Thanks a lot!

Anyone? Thank you

From personal experience, I received all 12s from my the Online Course and received a 12 on my actual test as well. I too was skeptical about its legitimacy, but turns out it was accurate.

The automated SAT-essay grading machine and people are still fundamentally different, I contend, and the online course grader cannot always be accurate. I am positive that the essay grader sees length.

How do you CC’ers ‘max out’ your scores? I have just a month until my SAT…and I still can;t seem to just get high in EVERY section…i’ll only get my highest on 1 or 2…any advice/tips/anyone else face this and overcome it (and how?)???

Try your best?

There is no systematic way to achieve your peak scores on every test.

^but does it just take more practice? do other people have this issue and correct it with lots of practice tests? i’m just not sure if i’'m doing something wrong or what it is…

There is NO systematic way to achieve your peak scores all at once.

End of story. Period.
