I was accepted into CBS in late October and Honors shortly after. However, I am still waiting on scholarship information and I’m trying to figure out why. My theories are (a) CBS is taking longer and (b) since I am not National Merit, they are giving NM-preferred scholarships to them first and then will give away what’s left to non-NM (this is a little far-fetched, but who knows).
So, just wondering, has anyone accepted to CBS received their scholarship letter? If you have, when were you accepted, when did you get the scholarship letter, and what scholarships were you awarded?
I’m the opposite, heard back almost immediately about a scholarship but still no honors yet. I was accepted to CBS in mid October and received the Gold National scholarships a few weeks afterward. I haven’t heard back about any CBS specific scholarships either though.
My daughter accepted into CLA honor in November and got scholarship letter today.
It was less than I expected.
Is this all or can she get some more notice later?
The best friend of my D received her scholarship letter in December, I believe. It was much less than she expected. She actually called and spoke with someone to ask if more money would be offered later and was told, nope, this is as good as it gets. We are OOS.
@CoMoMom Does your daughter’s friend got “Gold National Scholarship” or some amount of money. Lot of competitive OOS students get Gold National but no money.
@dadof2s Unfortunately, I don’t know the details of what she got. I just know that as a NMF and 4.0 Valedictorian she thought she was going to get a better offer than she did…
