So my college looks like it’s not going to accept my deferal, and I’m kind of stuck as to what to do now, any advice?

Hi everyone! I commented awhile ago that I was selected as an alternate for AFS. Last week, I got an email saying that I got upgraded to a finalist! Just so everyone knows, there are 20 alternates for AFS. I have heard of people hearing up until the last date so don’t lose hope! They are letting more and more people in all the time.
@hoodle7 oh my god, that’s awful! Why won’t they accept your deferral? This is both an educational and cultural experience. That makes me very worried for my college, because if they do not transfer my honors college spot and scholarship over until next year then I can’t do CBYX

My university finally accepted my deferral! Germany here I come!
Hey guys! This is just for reference for future CBYX YFU applicants. Acceptance emails started being sent out on April 24 and rejection emails were sent out on May 2. Congrats to all the finalists!
