it is SO HARD to find a "favorite book", most books I've read have been totally awesome...
of course, there are some I don't really like, but most I love.

right now I'm reading Ashes of Roses, by Mary Jane Auch, a novel about Irish immigrants.
it's a totally awesome book!!!

I'm glad everyone seems to like Looking for Alaska :D

NOW READ BLINDNESS. GO. GO. GO. ENJOY IT. LOVE IT. SAVOR IT.

Westcoast that deserves a super secret handshake.... gets the plunger

i just finished looking for alaska and i loved it! its so funny because i know exactly where everything is in that book because i live in AL, so i know where everything happened, which gave the book a reqlly interesting perspective and view point.

Oh my God, I <33333 Ashes of Roses. I first read the book in fourth grade, and then I read it again in 6th and 8th- each time it made me bawl xD If you like it, you should read Uprising by ... Haddix? It's about the Triangle fire, too, except in the perspectives of three different girls.

We just finished reading Fahrenheit 451 in school a few weeks ago- its absolutely amazing. And kind of scary too, lol.

My favorite authors are Kate Brian, Meg Cabot, Deb Caletti, and Sarah Dessen. Well, favorite authors that are alive. Jane Austen's my most favoritist xD

my favorite book is a tree grows in brooklyn!!! i read it for english class, and didn't think i'd like it, but now i've read it at least 10 times. i'm slowly making my way through wuthering heights...no further comment. I LUUUUVVVVVV the uglies series. but anybody who could come up with a book like that is kinda crazy. and fahrenheit 451, i liked that too. i also like the other half of me (can't remember the author) and the curious incident of the dog in the night time. best book ever :)

Haha, I don't know why, but it's just really surprising and relieving that kids still read books these days. But, then again, this is CC, so it shouldn't be a surprise. At school, whenever I offer someone to read my book 'cuz it's super good, they're like "eww... I don't read books." But, reading really helps with grammar and stuff. I'm pretty good at it now :) Now I just need to work on building up my vocabulary...

Oh, I get really frustrated when people use double negatives, like "I ain't got nothing." or "You don't have nothing to say!" etc.

Can someone reccomend something for me to read? I've finished 3 books in 4 days so Ive ran out of things to read really quickly.

Get a copy of "A Brief History of Time" by Stephen Hawking. It's brain food. Reading scientific prose isn't the easiest thing to do, but it's still a good book and not too long. The newer "Illustrated" version is supposed to be better than the original.

two words: Tamora Pierce

I have read everything she's ever written!
