This makes me so nervous I have a 1910 SAT (or a 1300 in CP’s eyes), and a 3.26 UW (3.6 W) for a Biological Sciences major, but I still haven’t heard back…My stats aren’t that far off from yours though, so that gives me some hope that maybe after UC admits come out and people start clicking “Decline” there might be room for me…

3.65 UC gpa (cal poly gpa is lower since my freshmen grades sucked)
2090 SAT (1390/1600)
In state

I wouldn’t have attended even if I got accepted but I’m still disappointed. After being rejected here my confidence level for being accepted to davis, irvine, or santa barbara dropped.

Thank you! I have my fingers crossed for your daughter’s acceptance as well! ;]

@Moonlitshadow76

Aww I really hope it works out for you, our stats are very similar so I’d think they’d accept you, I have a friend who is still waiting to see if she was accepted, and she’s a bio major as well so definitely keep your hopes up! :]

@hakufox – you need to set up a login on the ‘MyCalPoly’ website, which is different from the VIP site. That’s where you’ll find the admission status information.

There is a link (lower left) that helps you activate your account. You must get a new username and password (different from VIP login), then login from here.

Good luck–I hope you find a positive result there!

I got waitlisted trying to transfer with a 4.0 gpa into the business administration major and when I called the admissions office and asked why i wouldn’t get in they told me i had maximum consideration in every category and the only thing they could think of is “maybe” i didnt have enough extracurricular and they ran out of room.

I only had 1-5 hours a week of extra curricular activities but I have worked full-time while going to school full-time. I think that’s maybe what helped me.

Sorry to hear about business administration.=/

It seems like transferring into business within Cal Poly is much easier. I have a friend trying to switch into business from psychology only has to take 3 classes with a 3.3gpa.

GPA:3.6
SAT:1750 (550M,550R,650W)
Extracurriculars: Yearbook Sports Editor, Varsity Swim
Note: I had a 2.9GPA the start of Junior year, and improved it to the GPA I applied to Cal Poly with. I believe the positive trend helped me tremendously.

I am EXTREMELY happy =] Congrats to everyone who made it!

i am confused, how is it some people with 19k+ SATs get rejected and there are people like banhcoun (no offence dude) can get accepted.

i am in the similar state as banhcoun, i had sub 3.0 going into my junior year and am doing much better now, can i ask how many times you took the SAT.
and what your times were for swim team =)

does your SAT score omit the writing section? i am slightly confused because i originally thought that the SAT was out of 2400, but on Cal Poly’s website it says that the average SAT is 1215
