<p>The vast majority of Russia's population is in Eastern Europe, and it is generally considered to be an Eastern European country overall.</p>

<p>On that note, I'm 3/8 Russian/Austrian (if you consider it Eastern Europe). Its nebulous because I'm not sure if my grandfather's father was from Russia or Austria, although I'm nearly certain its one of the two.</p>
