So I took the ECON 1 equivalent (directly transferable according to ASSIST.org). I sent the transcript to Berkeley and it says that I have transfer credit on my BEARfacts. Now I assume that this means the record states I've passed out of ECON 1. Do any of you know if there is a secondary process I must endure--maybe through the transfer credit office?

Please and thank you!

Technically, yes. Some community college economics classes only cover microeconomics or macroeconomics, so make sure that you’ve taken either a comprehensive macro- and microeconomics class or both micro- and macroeconomics classes.

Assuming the class(es) you took are in line with this guideline as well, Haas should technically exempt you from the requirement automatically. However, given that they may (for whatever reason) not recognize that you have fulfilled the requirement and may, on that basis, decline your eventual application, I would still call or visit the admissions office to walk them through the specific class you took and when you took it (must be before matriculation) to confirm that it will work.
