CC Flip This House Ocean Beach Box

Can I please have the links to this and Adobe project? I’ve misplaced them. Thanks.

Just discovered if you google “college confidential ocean box” you’ll find the original thread with the links. Nothing is private on the internet.

There are two different styles she is interested in.

Modern white/gold

Coastal Contemporary (I think she is leaning towards this style)

She really really wants the lighting in the 2nd link but I cannot find a less expensive alternative in same style. I have offered these as alternatives

Similar to Balboa home link above

And, interestingly, she has seen this light in my home when we are having meetings and she loves it. I told her (paying my electrician to do this) that I would take it down out of my house and bring it there and hang it for her to see

If anyone can find a light similar to the Made Goods Carmen Chandelier link above, they win the prize

Can someone please send me the links to this and the other remodel in progress? Thanks ive misplaced them.

I just sent them to you.

@himom
Did you get the link from anyone? I cannot even figure out how to message someone

I thought with the latest reboot of the site that the restrictions on posting links have been greatly loosened. Have you tried actually posting the link?

Very cool and I love the great work you are doing on this and the other project.

Search ‘bead chandelier’ on Overstock

Oh, I was looking for the lighting in the first link.
You can’t be making enough for this level of aggravation.
The Carmen one hurts my eyes.

@coralbrook I think this owner has terrible taste. Your renovation lines are so clean and bright…and she wants to make it look kitchy. Maybe she can just get the lights done after you are long gone so you do not have to see her selection.

I agree that both of these beaded chandeliers are bad. Sorry those are the options.

@coralbrook — Thanks—I have the links to both and have added them to my contact for you in case I misplace the links again. Love your work and would love to meet you when you’re in HI prim in CA.

One third less but it seems to be the same chandelier:

Oops, never mind, smaller version.

That beaded lamp style is not my cup of tea, and the cost is unbelievable (especially for a project that likely has other cost overruns, no fault of coralbrook). I can see why alternatives are being considered.

I don’t like dusting/cleaning my fairly simple dining room fixture. It’s interesting to see some of the styles offered these days, but I can’t help thinking “dustcatcher”.

I was just thinking - would those beads rattle when planes fly over?

I’m trying hard to get her away from the wood bead chandeliers because I think they will be out of style in the near future and they lean towards a feminine style. I have many cute smaller cheaper ones I’ve recommended for the back bedroom or her master closet

But I have to admit I think the 2k one is stunning. It is not wood beads. It is coconut beading which, from my searching at other coco beading lights, is very expensive. Will anyone know that it is expensive? probably not!

What’s your local building code on chandeliers in bathrooms?

I would worry the the moisture, humidity and dust of the wooden beads would make them an irritant very quickly.

Those light fixtures is not my cup of tea! And is she really considering the $3k or so one form Serena and Lilly? Yikes. That place sells very overpriced stuff (I get their catalogs and toss them - the prior owner of our place must have loved this store)
