<p>Hey, by the way, since you live in new haven, how is it? Is it really bad? I have a friend who lived there like 15 years ago and he said he saw several people get shot. What's your opinion of the town?</p>

<p>I visited this summer, and I didn't feel uncomfortable walking around at night...</p>

<p>Yale's surroundings are clearly a lot safer than Penn's, and I would say Columbia's, too, although some might disagree with me.</p>

<p>Oh, and on the original topic, I'll be in New Haven for Bulldog Days, but I wouldn't be able to just come visit sometime...</p>

<p>Bulldog Days it is! And yeah, New Haven is totally awesome. I love it here. Like any city, if you aren't totally stupid, you're completely safe.</p>

<p>Ok - so here's what we do. I'll go to Bulldog days with you all. Then, we have some computer geniuses sneak into the adcom office and main office or whatnot....Add my name (and Victoria's) to the class of 2009....i sign up for whatever at Bulldog days and we're all a happy family - right? Right!</p>

<p>Having been in all three places, I wouldn't say Yale's campus is safer than Penn's or Columbia's per se. I think they all have their downfalls and if you're smart, then all of the campuses are safe. I wouldn't say Yale's is any safer than the other Urban Ivies.</p>
