The more I hang around CC, the more I begin to panic over Bs, think that my friends taking around seven AP courses are slackers, and think badly of my ~2000 SAT score. Is anyone else feeling the same symptoms as I am?

Nope. :)

I know I’ve said this a thousands times, but the GPAs, scores, or ECs of others don’t affect my happiness. Know what you want out of life and understand that other people want different things. Then you won’t be panicking over things you can no longer control.

Umm you should be proud of all your achievements. Remember, CC is overpopulated with all the Over-Achievers and must one-up everyone because that equals bragging rights. No, in all seriousness, just relax and do the best you can do and go where you want to go.

You need to relax CC is only a minority.

Not only is CC an extremely small minority, but there are a bunch of exaggeraters/liars/trolls. Don’t worry about them.

I’d only feel bad if I were actually trying to get into Harvard or something because it would be a constant reminder of how scary my competition is.
It’s better to know that you probably don’t have a chance at certain schools rather than get your hopes up over them, though. CCers are a minority in the general high school student population, but not as far as applicants to top schools are concerned.

But I’m not trying to get into anywhere insanely selective, so I don’t really worry about what other people do.
