CC in the NYT

I was shocked when I couldn’t find a thread about it… Collegeconfidential gets a big mention in a New York Times article from last week.

Wooohoooo!

Maybe thats why I keep getting a “the server is too busy for you right now - leave us alone” message

It was mentioned this month in a less prestigious publication…Seveteen magazine.

Seventeen?

Oh, cool…

Seventeen? Hmmm, any idea which issue? I think my subscription lapsed a few decades ago. I don’t think they publish the content online, either. Thanks.

Haha Roger, what do you have against Seventeen?

Featured thread! Thanks Roger.

we can all look back and say we were there before the hype…haha

I cant access it because Im not a member!!! Anyone feel like copypasting the bit about collegeconfidential?? Or is that like illegal or something…?

In the LA Times article talking about CB’s misgrading, the mention of collegeconfidential comes up as:

Honestly, people are stupid. How “highly charged” can it be because one lawyer is thinking about suing but doesn’t have a client yet. (Some lawyers probably think about suing if they have to wait too long in line at the grocery store so this doesn’t seem to be an example of a highly charged atmosphere."

Greetings,

I don’t know how many college professors are members of college confidential; I just happened upon it this evening. I have taught in community colleges, ‘mainstream’ large universities, and to students who ranged from prison inmates to those at the pinnacle of academic performance. I am a bit of an outlaw in the academic environment and now can be even more of one since I quit my position: not fired, released, dismissed, just quit.

Hope to hear from some of you soon.
