Just registered with "Colege Confidential" (CC). I've done a little reading, but I know there is much more.....
Our student is currently a high school junior. We are just starting the discovery portion of the financial aid process....
- I already ordered "Paying for College Without Going Broke", the 2009 and 2010 editions because I read in a post that there were differences in some of these editions. (mostly about explicit instruction on filling out the FAFSA...) $4.00 each from Amazon, so didn't break the bank on that purchase. The local public library has the 2012 edition.
- We had a one hour discussion with the "College Planning Network" (CPN) folks last night. I've read several of the threads on CC concerning CPN and I think that I need to read the books I ordered and do some more research before committing to something like that. (We probably will not sign up with them opting instead to do the work ourselves...)

Okay, so where do we go from here? Any suggestions on where else to start would be greatly appreciated.
